Grand Palace

This palace came to be known as the Grand Palace, in which the earliest edifices contemporary with the foundation of Bangkok were the two groups of residences named the Dusit Maha Prasat and the Phra Maha Monthian.

The Grand Palace built by Rama I. Until current king moves his place to chadala, past kings and family had been living here. Most of religious events still takes place here.

Tourists would like to visit here has to dress semiformal to enter the grand place and wat phra kao which is located in garden of the palace.

 

Wat Arun

Wat Arun is located on the river side. The look of the temple with sunset on background has mysterious yet beautiful atmosphere.

The emerald Buddha situated in Wat Phra Keo to say used to be at this temple.

The tall tower located in the temple has height of 75m. The sight Bangkok from here over Chaophraya river is spectacular

This world famous temple is located right next to the Grand Palace on the south side. It is one of Bangkok's oldest and largest temples.

Wat Pho was built by King Rama I nearly 200 years ago and houses the gigantic gold-plated Reclining Buddha.
This unique image is 46 meters in length and 15 meters high with beautifully inlaid mother-of pearl soles.

 

Wat Tramit

World famous Wat Tramit has its reputation for pure gold monument of budda. Unlike others, it's 60% in purity and has height of 3 meter. This stature was constructed in Sukothai period. When it was found in 1953, it was all converted with all dust for the reason of protection from myammer and nobody believed it was made of solid gold. Until the day, this golden Buddha was sleeping in the ground for 300 years.

 

Wat Sakhet

The temple located on the hill of Rama IV grave is Wat Saket. The Golden Mount was begun during the reign of King Rama I(1782-1800).

The golden chedi houses relics of Lord Buddha and affords visitors a panoramic view of Bangkok. There is festival at full moon in November
